Your plug ins reset constantly. This happens far too often. I will load a track and get no sound from a given vst. It has reset to the default patch and turned the volume to zero. If I haven't saved a preset for my work then what I have is lost. While I am grateful you allow license transfers you are asking a small fortune for these new and so the least that should be acceptable is that this sort of thing doesn't happen, and I don't get this from any other product.

Nobody can fix a problem with that little information. Since you haven't even mentioned which OS you're on, or host you're using, let alone which plugins you're talking about, you're on a hiding to nothing.

Its probably specific to your setup, given that its not happening to tens of thousands of other people, so you're going to have to be very clear about what that setup is, what you're doing, etc.

Problems don't stop being problems because they affect fewer people than you might think acceptable. That's a strange argument to make.

I am using nothing radical: windows 10 and Reaper. The plug ins are any of Arturia's vst's that I own, it affects all of them. Not just one or two. I won't list all the ones I own because it's not really relevant given that.

This doesn't seem to be an issue for any other product nor manufacturer I have used. None of them use something like the ASC which is the only differentiating factor I can think of, perhaps that is causing an issue. I don't know.

This shouldn't be happening at all. I have no issue with their products otherwise, which I find otherwise to be excellent. But given they are premium products, and Arturia are free to charge whatever they like, I do expect these things not to be so persistent a problem. I think I have made my point fairly and respectfully and am not looking to jump down rabbit holes or have arguments. Thank you

Strawman. I didnt say it stopped being a problem, nor was I making any argument. I said you'd need to provide a lot more information than you actually did, and that's a simple fact.

Detailed information is always relevant to a bug report. If you dont inform a company of the specific circumstances under which a problem occurs, they cannot attempt to reproduce the problem, which is something which is absolutely necessary in order to fix that problem.

No you didnt. The only information you gave was 'Windows 10 and reaper', and that's not even close to being 'detailed information'.

But Im done trying. Good luck with this if you cant understand why resolving software problems is a two-way street.

It happened to many people, if you had done some research. But that seems not to be one of your strongest points .

More specifically, where's the information on the specific OS, OS version, DAW, DAW version, plugin, plugin version that the OP was having problems with?

Oh wait, had the OP revealed any of that by that point? No.

Clearly 'excuse' knows a lot more about research than me, given that he can manage it without any known facts.

They're also really good with basic logic too, given that they're saying 'tens of thousands of people didnt have an issue' is negated by 'it happened to many people'.

I bet that excuse's 'many people' is tens of thousands, as well, right, not just the four google hits under 'arturia plugin reset?'

I would strongly recommend to contact our support team ( https://www.arturia.com/support/askforhelp ) and send them your Reaper Project, in order for them and also QA team to try to reproduce your issue.
In the meantime, i would like to know :
Did this issue happen after upgrading your instruments to latest versions ? (we released our last V collection instruments versions on December 28th)
Or did you notice this after some other upgrade , like reaper (last 6.43 update have been released on december 21st) , or maybe your windows 10 version ?( sorry i don't remember the exact date)

Could you please also check that every stuff is up to date on your side?

Thank you for replying.

It has happened a few times and I can't recall whether it was close to an upgrade. I did upgrade over the weekend, had the problem yesterday (hence the psot). I opened the ASC afterward and saw that another set of upgrades was available. Perhaps this is connected as I was surprised to see a second set of upgrades. I don't know what that was about.

I have the latest version of Reaper, and Windows 10, as far as I can tell.

I'd recommend working with Arturia on this one, but I just noticed another post about Arturia plugins resetting back to their initial state. Those were in demo mode.

I don't mean to state the obvious, but have you successfully activated the plugins, or are they running in demo mode?

As an aside, does this happen with both VST and VST3 versions?

They are successfully activated.

I don't know about different VST versions I'm afraid.

I don't take any pleasure in being critical here. Arturia's products are great IMO and I have gotten a lot of use out of them and am grateful for their license transfer policy
