The resonance sounds better on ABL3.

And the accent .
It also gives you the choice over 4 different engines : 2 , 3.2, 3.3x ( latest models )
Imho since it’s first official release 17 years ago ,ABL has set the standard , and it still does .

I have to agree, even though I used Phoscyon for years, and tbh made some really cool 303 stuff with it, since I got ABL, its really made a difference in it's power, which I always associate with the original 303.gentleclockdivider wrote: Mon Jan 03, 2022 6:22 am And the accent .

very interesting, i thought i would be set with the Rolandcloud TB303, crap, need to check ABL3 then
i was missing a distortion last time i demo'ed it. i like the distortion in Phoscyon but sadly in FL Studio is no proper scaling option so it is just too smal GUI..
a bit cumbersome to have the distortion in an extra menu? window? i find it more fiddly than tb303 atm but well i test it further. im a sucker for 303

It happened last year. In late March of 2021, Steinberg added a clause to the VST3 license agreement that revoked VST2 licenses. In late April, they took it out after complaints from developers who had contractual obligations to maintain VST2 support. It was discussed at length in the DSP forum: viewtopic.php?p=8085362#p8085362Echoes in the Attic wrote: Wed Aug 25, 2021 5:24 pm I've never heard of anyon with a current VST2 license needing to forfeit it to provide VST3's.
The same thread, and related threads, discuss some of the numerous technical hurdles that developers can encounter when implementing VST3 support. Asking a developer to support VST3 is absolutely justified (especially for users of Cubendo, or any new DAW that doesn't exist yet) but you should expect it to take months, especially for shops as small as Audiorealism. Especially if they've never worked with VST3 before.
I hate signatures too.

in the RE version of ABL (Reason) there is a control to rotate and transpose, but it is not in the pattern view, it is in the keyboard view). I don't remember exactly how it is done in the VSTi (don't have it installed ATM), but pretty sure it is there.Caine123 wrote: Tue Jan 04, 2022 1:46 pm hey guys, is there no ROTATE and Transpose option in the pattern view?

Ah crap... confused this with the bargain discussion thread, sorry.
There is a rotate option. Check the classic pattern view, and then look on the left. The "Shift" option with the left and right arrows. The up and down arrows transpose the notes.

thx guys, no need to be sorry!
ok i will check into it, im still not sure if ABL3 has anything better/advantage over Rolandcloud TB303 yet, i dont want to use the cloud but i paid last year for it so i could take the tb303 as a lifetime key maybe so im considering keeping it or getting ABL3 instead, depends on the features and sound. the rolandcloud has built in delay and different distortions so far which is quite great.
Drive Type:
Overdrive - Distortion - Metal - Fuzz - Drive - Compressor
Delay Types:
Delay - Pan Delay - Chorus 1 - Chorus 2 - Flanger - Delay Chorus

Try running ABL3 through NI Dirt, if you have that. Delicious.Caine123 wrote: Tue Jan 04, 2022 2:01 pm thx guys, no need to be sorry!
