Only supports VST and AU for Mac, presently, and even more limited to 11.x (Big Sur) and up, but is M1 native. The LITE version is free, stereo only but seems not crippled in any other way except audio channels. I've downloaded and tested that it would install but not yet played with it.
Here's how NovoNotes describes it:
More than just a gate or dynamics processor. My immediate interest is drawn to the sound design aspects, but the demos are with instruments and demonstrative. Sort of like a refined variation of Izotope Rx Ambience Match, if I'm understanding it correctly ... or like Rx Music Rebalance but rebalance between ambient and non-ambient aspects of the sound signal. Combined with a convolution reverb and IRs, could really lead down some interesting paths. I'm not aware of anything like this. Will be giving it a whirl. The Ambience Enhancer analyzes the incoming audio signal and breaks it down into ambience and direct sound. By adjusting the gain, filter, and delay parameters, you can control the ambience as you wish. The ambience is the result of the decomposition of the input signal, and the plug-in does not add any reverberation or artificial sounds. This is also effective when you want to use stereo music material to blend into a surround space.
