Personally I like it a lot. I bought it a month ago and I have not yet thoroughly tested all the features but the sound quality is very good and it's easy to use. Very stable, FX are goods. Each zone can have its own modulation and FXs.

In fact, I am wondering how many people own it. It's an affordable and powerful sampler for designing sample sets. I did 2 free sets for it that showcase the easy yet powerful implementation of its sample looping capabilities. I'm very tempted to design and release more sets for it.

Better from your point of view.
But what do you think about Highlife/Bliss?

Post

I use bliss. Bliss is amazing for one specific thing and that is recording samples. It makes it so easy to get a patch and record it.

I also like it for basic sampling but if recording patches isn't your need I am sure other samplers would be a little easier to pick learn.

It's great but it just depends.

Edit: My uses case.

Percussion sounds. I will normally design my own drum sound. I also like unique rhythmic sounds from say Hive 2 with Objects presets. Once I got a snare or Tom or whatever I will record it and I will record it with one or one and a half octive pitches with bliss in 15 seconds. It will have my naming structure and the pitches all done for me. Silenced removed at the start and the same tails. Super powerful and a sample uses some much less cpu.

I will also import a sample and make a new sound out of say Falcon. I will do this with guitar samples and will end up with something unique. I will record two or three octive and have it all organized and done in 15 seconds.

Bitwig is my DAWs and UHe and Tracktion Synths are my Bae. I maybe buy one synth a year. REMEMBER SELF just one synth a year!

Well, thet's the way Highlife works, but just with older 32bit code that does the same.
Of course, Oskari Tammelin did its best to update the Arguru's concept, corrected bugs and maintains it as it is deserved as Aruguru is no longer among us.
But for everyday use or SFZ creation, Highlife remains as the best freeware tool to resample sounds as multisamples.

aallvor has waited for over 15 years and still hasn't gotten an answer to his question.
Just suggestions for other plugins. This thread is peak KVR.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Of course. But be aware of this:

I would much rather suggest discoDSP Highlife. It's open source, if you download it from SourceForge, not from the discoDSP website....
:( They have removed it from SourceForge!
NOT available anymore. *no*
It was open source for 5 years, then, everything disappeared.
The last one i know about is this:
(edited link, as DISCO DSP is against redistributing old opensource betas, for sure, they have their own reasons).
HighLifeR3_beta.zip
