VIRGIN PRUNES - If I Die I Die
MODERN ENGLISH - Mesh and Lace
CLAN OF XYMOX - Clan of Xymox

The latter two are 23 Envelope jobbies and pretty much all their stuff is masterful. I have a collection of A3 poster of all of their better work which I guard jealously. I was smart enough to get them all laminated when I bought them 18 years ago so they still look perfect.

Amazing design, for sure. People are still imitating their typographical style all these years later.

ANY Carly Simon cover! :hihi:

Or Boards Of Canada 'Music Has The Right To Childern'
Definate Canadian 70's Liberal NFB influence, brilliantly captured and nostalgic for me. :D

"Ege Bamyasi" by Can

http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0000 ... ZZZZZZ.jpg

The front cover has the above picture of a Turkish can of okra. The back cover picture is a grainy and almost hallucinatory picture of the band jamming on stage, singer Damo Suzuki's face obscured by hair, in front of an elderly gentleman in tuxedo inexplicably conducting with baton. Don't know all of what was going on, but I sure wish I had been there. :cry: On the plain paper sleeve inside is a typewritten quote from Shakespeare's "The Tempest":

The man that hath no music in himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils;
The motions of his spirit are dull as night,
And his affections dark as Erebus.
Let no such man be trusted. Mark the music.

Now THAT'S a cool album cover! :D

P.S. The music is f**king wonderful as well--Can's best, IMHO.
