As we've seen there are so many deals happening every single day on every re-seller website that its hard to keep track of them all.

So I wondered, what about setting up a fully automated website that will list all deals by all re-sellers and companies so its easy to see them all in one place?

Also, keeping track of the price of each product so we can have a price history tool a bit similar to camelcamelcamel:

Follow me on my journey as I build the website!

Some extra functionality I want to add:
- Subscribe to price notifications (like camelcamelcamel) when your product hits a specific price
- See deals in grid view or list view
- Filter deals by company name, product category (eg. plugin / Kontakt etc.) and sub category (eg. EQ, Compressor etc.)

What do you think? Would this be useful? Any other features you'd like to see?

Definitely useful. Filter deals by price range would be cool.

Great idea - would it be a lot of work? It sounds like it. But I’m sure it would get a lot of use.

I've been looking for something like this, would rely on looking through so many posts on r/audioproductiondeals.

Best of luck on this journey.

My first question would be how on earth are you planning to achieve that? Considering the "fully automated" part, there is no API or something that all resellers and companies use, which you can dock on. So, unless you have Google dimensions algorithms which search all websites, I consider this a "very ambitioned" to impossible task.

First tip for this site: Ignore the fools and oddballs. Better browsing guaranteed that way.

You can use bots to crawl multiple websites multiple times a day. Its just a matter of ensuring the format and structuring of the meta data is stored correctly in our DB once crawled.

Ok, I'm sure you know a lot better than me what it takes. So, I can just say, sure, why not? Sounds like an interesting idea. It's not easy to keep an overview over all deals. And, to be honest, it's kind of a pain to be registered for so many newsletters, so, yeah, good idea really.

The two problems as I see it are:
- Hard to see an overview of every deal in one place. Loads of sites showing sales from different companies and re-sellers but none that seem to show all of them in an easy to view / searchable format
- Its hard to keep track of what previous prices were for particular products. I always find myself trying to remember when a company put a particular product on sale and what the biggest discount was so I know whether or not to wait until Black Friday this year or not.

So these are the two problems I want to solve :)
