Tempo-based pre-delay or RT60 reverb tail would be IMO a nice addition to these reverbs
Hey sorry, very slow reply - this sounds really interesting. Any chance you can share what you mean by tempo based gate reverb? Is this just reverb, gated by kick?

You should.
It's 12 vs 3 plate modes so it's a lot more plate, and none of it sounds really the same as plates in VVV.
I really like Plate and prefer it for very short verbs over VVV.

I prefer room for most things. VVV is good on lost of synthy stuff.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

I'm using Shimmer the most :) But between the 2 mostly Vintage since for Rooms I'm using Seventh Heaven Pro.

I use Valhalla Room for percussion and FX and Vintage Verb on synths and melody.
"Room" to me sounds better on percussive stuff (including crashes and whitenoise up/ downlifters ect.) while Vintage Verb just has a nicer vibe on synths. Conclusion: you need both.

I use room for clean verbs, but vintage gets a lot more attention and updates. Room gets hardly touched. Vintage gets constantly updated.

I use Room, Vintage and Plate about evenly...

I really must get around to buying VV. Finally demoed it properly and must say it's very good. It's got the Lexicon character going on in spades, and it sits well at very high levels in a mix...similar to Lexicon again. I suspect I'll probably end up going away from impulse verbs once I get it. Their delay was a revelation too...not so much for the standard delays or even modulated delays but I absolutely  it when it's half way between a delay and reverb. Can't get enough of that echoey wash. I did like the plate and room, but I just don't use enough of that type verb to justify getting them all, despite the great price. Maybe one day...
