TO ALL Developers of Software Plugins ! Take out Personal Informations from Plugins !

Please, can you add the following point in you next update or feature road map?

♦ Take out any personal user informations from the Plugin Interface or hide it well ♦

I streaming my music production on youtube and twitch, i think i am not alone with this! So I can not cover all my personal informations in some plugins, like E-Mail-Adress or Realname i found mostly on the Interface of some Plugins! I always need to be careful then which Plugin i can safely open...that sucks alot !

I wrote an E-Mail to all the Developers with my wish to get rid of these offensive personal Information on some of his Plugins.

all answers are possitive and very friendly and they will do a little workaround
to hide these information to not violate privacy and hopefully keep piracy.

It's a nice way to quickly identify pirates. I think that already outweighs it for devs. Though I have no problem if it would be "hidden" on a systempage or if I'd be able to customize it (like forward audio does it in their account settings). I think in the u-He plugins it's also only shown temporarily!?

And the Option to have a "ALIAS" i get via an Account? OR just a Random number?
Think about Privacy and....whats your point?
Piracy will not stop, if nobody stream song productions...so...it doesn´t matter.

Not sure if it is an optional out, it should "OPT IN".

Try reaching out to each developer. You can usually have them register each plug-in to your company/user name.

Set up another email account just for your streaming too. This alone should be helpful if you end up earning money through this because it allows you demonstrate it as a business expense for possible tax purposes.

this is what i try with this Thread ! Reaching all Dev´s. Yeah okay i will try to get a second Account with Alias or something other information. Thank you.

Hm okay, not sure if it will work...if i use an alias for paypal payment what maybe not fit with billing information and so on.

Any of you Student know your Real Name...but yeah if u are a Producer/Ghostwriter/ Activist and use you secret ID für this Plugins (your Email)...then you are maybe no longer a Ghostwriter...also if you use the N* word or some specific politic words (whitegiantdick or something)...that can hurt, u can lost your job.

I also don't want to lose my job, but I don't use the N-word, and I avoid racist and other types of discriminatory thinking.

I think we should not "overact?" this idea behind my thread, but should lost an idea to it.
I just make the mistake not having use not my real name, because i was thinking that the billing process will not work if account and pyment not fit.

But its too late to fix that in the plugin code....maybe...i just wrote some dev´s to think about it...lets see.

Fight your fight, but, don't think you fight it for me. It's probably also waaay down the priority list for most devs, understandably.

Most video editor let you blur parts of the video anyway.

Maybe just ask for a click-to-hide-temporarily feature for when one does screencasts. I'm not sure how many plugin pirates make Youtube videos explaining them. Then again, anything for .00001 cents per view....
