Working with Walter Hackett on a subtracive synth that will include my filters as well as high quality oscillators, and if we manage to get it working, interesting envelopes (trying to make a better trance pluck), better supersaws (specific frequency and phase spread algorithms for maximum diffusion, least flanging), and one of the best reverbs I've ever heard.
As for Flower Child Filter, Walter might be able to help me finish it. Currently the envelope follower doesn't work correctly at all times. And I need to remove the flavor knob for all filters, redesign them to be easier to use and sound better in general (because you're not having to look for sweet spots).

hi, thanks for this filter. it used to work on live 11 on an M1 mac, but since live 11.1 (native arm support) I cant seem to to get live to find it. can you confirm this or am I just being thick as usual?
thanks again.
thanks again.

That's interesting.Architeuthis wrote: Fri Feb 04, 2022 8:09 pm Working with Walter Hackett on a subtracive synth that will include my filters as well as high quality oscillators, and if we manage to get it working, interesting envelopes (trying to make a better trance pluck), better supersaws (specific frequency and phase spread algorithms for maximum diffusion, least flanging), and one of the best reverbs I've ever heard.

Ill have to find time to download ableton live it, but I can't actually debug.
Alright! Proof of concept for the first(?) hypersaw. Supersaw is dead, hypersaw will be its replacement. Yes, there's a lot of crackle, distortion, unwanted noise, uglyness, yes, but I have 10 more ideas on how to improve the sound and those ideas will keep coming until I perfect the hypersaw.
testsaw.mp3 (google drive link)
be sure to listen to 5:36 powerful lows and one of the best examples of extreme dispersion in the whole demo at 0:22 and 6:06.
I bet you'll never guess how many sawtooths it took to make this. 16? 32? 64? naa. 10. Just 10.

You'd be silly to use less than 16 and definitely more like 32 if you want the best supersaws. Even at 64 you won't be able to match the level of dispersion of a hypersaw.

yeah well screw them because that's not a hypersaw.

*synth noises intensify*
synth roar (mp3)
harmonic locking filter (mp3)
currently rewriting all filter code so it actually is not a complete mess and is easy to translate to any platform and language. I stopped to make this demo. I've always been fascinated by MOTM-485. See video:
I will create a filter that mimics this eventually.

yellowjacket chaotica (mp3) [eos reverb]
polivoks' like... but inspired by the Wasp synthesizer. It's not quite wasp-like in this demo but I will have multiple variations, some more waspy, some more polivoksy.

I'm working on the hypersaw, trying to improve the sound and make it more flexible. It doesn't sounds as big because I can only afford to use 6 sawtooths due to how inefficient the prototype is hehehh...
