Yes, it’s nice to know if I don’t get on with it that I could probably flip it for at least 100% profit going on what people are asking on reverb. I don’t know if it having boring grey knob caps will count against that or not though, people are strangely picky about the visuals.justin3am wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 7:56 amThe RSD-10 and RSP-10 are both a lot of fun. You can get some great stuff by abusing the keyboard and trig inputs. Connecting the rca Output to the Tape Input can some times yield crazy results. People ask insane prices for them now. You got a decent price but I see people asking >$300 now and I just don't think they are worth that. Lots of fun for circuit bending though.WatchTheGuitar wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 6:14 pmAnd, this could be fun, one of these I managed to snaffle up from Cash Converters for £80...
It threw me initially as somehow had replaced the colourful knobs with the boring ones that come on the compressors and stuff, but it's a sampler delay alright.
Don't know if anyone's used one before, but they can be f**king mental if used (in)correctly.

Sure do. I thought about getting a couple back when they were turning £50-£60 but never did and...
( I seem to be good at that; I also wish I'd picked up a full set of the Alesis ModFX stuff when they were being blown out. Coulda got a 'display' set of one of each for about £150. )

Be interested to hear how you get on with this! Been eyeing it up for a while to match the Blofeld, but seems a bit redundant with the modular + software. Ah, to play live again...cryophonik wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 4:03 am Bought in the last few days of 2021, delivered in the first few days of 2022…

Loving it, so far! I’ve never owned owned a Blofeld, but I assume the build quality is similar. It really excels at basses, but my fav feature is that arp! Love all the flexibility for arp patterns.imrae wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 7:11 pmBe interested to hear how you get on with this! I kicked myself a few times (lots and lots) for missing those, also. So, I did a search on some sites I know to have otherwise difficult to find things, and though I did not follow up on it, I found this on his updated (2022) page, so may still be viable.whyterabbyt wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 11:21 am[...]

Cheers for posting that; pity he's not got the bitcrusher, vocoder or filter, those are the ones I'd have been primarily interested in. Ive got the phlanger and ampliton.Shabdahbriah wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 3:41 amI kicked myself a few times (lots and lots) for missing those, also. ( Plus, being in the UK its difficult to say how much it would wind up with the post-Br*x*t situation of imports and stuff, it was bad enough before all that: 'You will have to pay £20 for import tax on your £30 item, plus £30 for this letter telling you how much the import tax is' )

Digitakt and Analog Four arrived. Managed to get them all linked up, the Four was very fussy about USB and only worked properly connected directly to a USB3 port on my PC. It all works well and sounds great, but one minor peeve was that I had to up my buffer amount from 128 to 256 to stop getting noise via the overbridge plugin, but latency still not an issue. God I love RME.

And in further late Xmas my MS 20 mini arrived and got to say it’s tremendous fun. So simple to use, but crazy amounts of variations of sound. Once work’s done for the day can’t wait to hook it up and hear it through effects.

To wrap up a very expensive week, I’ve been waiting for someone to have these in stock and finally Bax did so hopefully I’ll get it Monday.
it’s an iconnectivity MioXL which is a midi interface with oodles of MIDI i/o and can act as a midi host for compliant devices too. Means I should be able to massively cut down on the USB devices directly connected to my pc.

I've taken a punt on this curious thing called Flash, which is made by H-Pi INstruments (who do microtonality stuff) and mitxela:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTvVS8guBsY
It is the "the world's first and only very-tiny MIDI-powered polyphonic microtonal FM and subtractive synthesizer".
It sounds alright.
https://hpi.zentral.zone/flash
Something to experiment with.

starting looking at stands for the make noise desktops, (im refusing to call them the dark easel on the grounds im in enough danger of being a hipster through a series of unfortunate events).
few choices or i can look at a saw and some wood. can't be too hard to make a simple wedge, but then me and sharp tools...
suppose i could find a chippy?
