No, it wasn't a guess, it was a clear statement that I added after I'd seen the GF confirmation saying it will be Windows on launch when someone asked, as good info about something people would wonder about.

That's because there isn't any PC info in the trailer.

Personally I am quite disappointed by the developer after they still didn’t fix the huge bug where the ob-e ui is so bugged that one can’t browse through presets on m1 using it as a plug in in logic….

So: not interested whatever it is

Forgive my ignorance, but why would any third-party software developer (that was not exclusively tied directly to Apple) wish to release plugins on Mac only?

Isn't that akin to wantonly "throwing money away?" I am not a programmer, so I am unaware of what is required to support both macOS and Windows. But I have observed that the majority of plugin developers (even very small teams, or just one-man development companies) seem to manage it quite well.

The last I was aware, the home music producer market on Windows was far more popular out of the two OS formats and therefore would seemingly be potentially much more lucrative for third-party audio software companies to capitalise upon.

Or am I perhaps missing something obvious here, which makes sense to have previously chosen to only support the smaller macOS demographic for certain product releases?

Not for G-Force.

G-Force say their market is predominantly Mac. They are supporting PC apparently but their last release has so far only appeared on Mac.

That doesn't even say that there will be a PC version.

I *think* it's a Mellotron MKII, the knobs look right.

wouldnt be a first in software though, unless theyve forgot they did it before, twice. :hihi:

Post

Not a Mk2 though. I think their previous ones were a M300

Post

fair enough, but if it is thats dissapointing really, given the first in software statement. id expect something totally new, if you get me.

although, the music doesnt suggest synth as such either???

Wow. The knobs are a really close facsimile. The shapes of the grips are the same, and they have the black stripes on the center knob's brassy ring and the little triangles on the white rings. Either they put way too much effort into a red herring or they're hyping the "never been done" angle a little too hard. Maybe there's some absolutely crazy feature here that we can't guess from the video?
I hate signatures too.

Indeed, looks exactly like the middle knob section of the Mellotron MK2 including the little sections under the knobs with the function names.

Maybe it's a physically modelled Mellotron Mk 2. No samples!!!

[not at all serious]
