I checked the history and it seems that Model 72 started going on sale for $48/$43 (which I assume is the price you paid) one year after it was released. So going by this trend, I guess Model 84 might get a similar price tag during or post summer of 2022, which is about 6 months away depending on location. $79 is not that bad though, especially when you (I ) really want it. Watch out for the offer on Model 84 next Friday, though.

I'm the same. I really wanted to get it, but I'm in no rush and I think it will eventually go lower than $79.

I don't like dongles, but, there's way too many quality plugins which use iLok protection.

I had to get over my iLok hate to buy Model 72, it was just too good to pass up. I would have bought Model 84 too but even at its sale price it felt too expensive for what it offers.

For $79 you get a very good sounding Juno 106 emulation. I don't think the price is (was) too high, maybe you don't really need it?

For me, the single modules inside Softube Modular are far more interesting than the VST synth itself. I have no use for a six voice, single envelope polysynth.

$79 price is available through a special coupon code, which is distributed via emails to subscribers I think, that can be applied when the sale price is $99.

Yeah, no real rush here as well. For me, it's a bit of a redundant affair too considering I have Monark (~ Model 72) and Super 8 (~ Model 84).

BUT it's been a while since I felt real GAS and combining FOMO with it makes it worst it can be, lol. Who knows if it will actually ever go lower than this as per the past trend, at least that soon? So, considering that the wait for Model 84 to go lower than $79 would be longer, are you planning to resist the upcoming offer if it is $79?

I was thinking that if I can't control my GAS, I will go for it. $79 is not a bad price for the best Juno-106 emulation. It will alleviate waiting for Model 72 that much easier and I can definitely wait for it to go to $43 again, which it may go by next month. Model 72 has the lower priority here. And it helps to split the purchases across two months. Sorry.

Well, get ready then. Please check my post on the previous page. Next Model 84 special sale is on 21-23 Jan. so I (too) know I will not be able to hold myself back. If it's better than $79, we will consider ourselves lucky.
