It’ll all be on reverb in six months when I’m in debtor’s prison!

I tried talking my Missus into a Guild OM-245e and she gave the 'you don't want to go there, do you? You'll be selling it soon enough, and you'll meet xxxxxxx again!' admonishment. Gets me every time.WatchTheGuitar wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 6:20 pm Been waiting for shops to get Epiphone Casinos in stock, been waiting for weeks, but just found a used one online for £300. Yoink!
She knows me too well.
Congrats on the Casino! I had one with Bigsby, but sold it. Have an 'Inspired By John Lennon' Casino. I see those regularly go for hundreds more than what I paid new. I'll never sell mine. It's my last remaining P-90 git!

The Casino I’ve bought is turquoise and is probably my least favourite colour, but I may attack it with brillo pads etc to see if I can shift the poly finish off the body entirely.
As it’s nearly half what I’d banked on spending I may investigate getting some upgrade P90s from somewhere like The Creamery.

I got new tubes for my Bugera V22, Tung-Sols and TADs, it got less noisy, along with a serious improvement in the subjective sound quality. Smoother and more refined.

The Casino arrived and I think I got lucky, perfect setup, sounds great to me, not a mark on it and even the turquoise body looks a lot nicer IRL than in the pics. I know it’s not a sexy site, but anyone after bargains in the uk should keep an eye open for new arrivals on the cash converters site

it’s weird how that happens. One time I saw page after page of ukeleles, like someone had done a ramraid on a Dawsons Music.vurt wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 6:15 pmgoing through the list, looks like the mobile disco is another pandemic casualtyWatchTheGuitar wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 6:07 pm The Casino arrived and I think I got lucky, perfect setup, sounds great to me, not a mark on it and even the turquoise body looks a lot nicer IRL than in the pics. I always look in Cash Converters given the chance, I got a Yamaha acoustic and a Squier Stagemaster V2 for £30ish each.WatchTheGuitar wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 6:07 pm The Casino arrived and I think I got lucky, perfect setup, sounds great to me, not a mark on it and even the turquoise body looks a lot nicer IRL than in the pics. Just need to be aware of fret wear.

Look interesting, if you want the P-90 sound!

Nice buy! I've never been a fan of recording my Martin by going direct and finally got around to buying a few mics to experiment with. The SM7B was on my radar but skipped on it for the time being.Rickibobbibalboa wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 7:54 pm Pulled the trigger on the sm7b a few weeks ago. Sadly haven't used it much. Not in a dedicated studio so shouting isn't the best idea unfortunately.
edit: realized its not really what comes to mind when someone says "guitar gear" but i plan on using it on acoustic so meh, this works.

I will buy a rechargeable tuner for convenience because swapping out batteries can be a hassle.
