Boring?

That's the compilation Funkjazztical Tricknology for me. Too many elements looping endlessly. Some nice sounds here and there, but very anemic as a whole. And god knows I've given that CD many chances (lets see... have I got anything to chill out to? Not much... let's try this one again.) Most of the artists mentioned here are in there somewhere, so I guess it just means I don't like Ninja Cuts. It just doesn't seem like music you're supposed to actually listen to, because if you do you will get bored very quickly. Love Cinematic Orchestra's Motion, though. Can't see why they (he?) are at Ninja Cuts anyway, since the music has very little to do with that bunch of loop-mongers.

I'll try to give it a listen, but it's not on the compilation I mentioned. Anyway, I hope I haven't offended anyone. Ninja Tunes obviously try (tried?) to promote electronic music makers who try to break moulds and have a sense for subtlety. But I can't help being bored with those looped beats etc that just churn on and on. Perhaps the subtlety is lost on me, but I think the word genious has been too liberally used on Ninja Tunes. Anyway, I really rate stuff like Jaga Jazzist and Cinematic Orchestra, and would recommend whoever started this thread to give them a listen.
