I'm playing with making a 'portable studio' stick that i can just plug into any Windows machine available. Currently have Reaper portable, working lovely, and now investigating plugins.
So, looking at plugs with either no or easy (license file) authorisation that don't use the registry. At work I've used Promon but it's a bit of a pain at times, wondering if anyone has other workflows/tools for this kind of thing, monitoring the registry for writes/accesses etc I may have overlooked.
Thanks.

You mentioned "promon" indeed, but it was not clear to me whether you meant the monitor from Microsoft themselves or a product from another vendor.
