I am ecstatic to be bringing you another TONE2 SaurusX bank, Higher Realms vol2, picking up where the other one left off, this time with over 150 presets for $15. I have also created a new SaurusX Bundle which contains over 250 presets for $30.

Soundset Description

The Higher Realms II expansion contains 150 high quality presets for Tone 2's SaurusX synthesizer and is suitable for any contemporary electronic and ambient music genres. It has been a great pleasure working with this synth. If nothing else, SaurusX is the biggest surprise I’ve had yet with a synth. It is extremely underrated imo and I am amazed it has slipped my gaze for so long. The entire synth is one big sweet spot and it is expertly crafted in a very balanced and sophisticated way. It has become my favorite analog synthesizer!!

All patches have been lovingly crafted to a high standard while being tweaked over and over on monitors, computer speakers, and headphones for optimal balance between sounds. The soundset also contains 3 MIDI files.



HIGHER REALMS DETAILS

Includes 150 patches for Tone 2 SaurusX version 3
Optional MIDI preset version ncludes 12 Midi FIles (Over 30 merged patterns) from most of the audio demos (excluding leads). They are named identically to the corresponding preset.
All patches are volume normalized. (They won't clip and have equal volume levels when scanning between presets)
Complex Modulation Wheel destinations for some patches. When appropiate, many patches also utilized velocity sensitivity.

I don't have the synth yet but I wanted to chime in on your demo, which sounds very cool. I'm hearing echos of sounds reminiscent of Enigma. It sounds like Saurus would be great for powerful and atmospheric dance music. I know Tone2 synths can sound lush or aggressive and beg to be explored. My first Tone2 synth was Nemesis 2 and it has been a fascinating take on FM. So Saurus is definitely on the list. Nice work Timothy, you've been a busy bee!!

Thanks morphex! Thats quite an honor to hear. Saurus really does sound amazing. It's crazy how underappreciated it is, but then again, it does have stiff competition in the analog department, but this def stands up with just about anything. It is a well crafted and balanced instrument, truly.

Nemesis is on my list of releases soon as well, though its quite a bit different that other Tone2 synths, and simply being FM, its a challenge.
