A new plugin is in town, people who own PA mix&master and mega bundle can already use it, everyone else can try the demo, and buy it from february 1.
I was curios about this one, so i've tryed and i've made a video review. You can find an overview, a comparison with proq3 and acustica audio white 3, and how it sound on a full mix

Yeah i think price and vouchers/seasonal discounts will make this a must buy or not, ofc, it also depend on how many eq you have, it's definitely a good one, but if you already have good eq's you may don't need it.thecontrolcentre wrote: Wed Jan 26, 2022 7:53 pm Thanks. Not sure I can justify another EQ, but will see how price and PA vouchers work out in Feb.

130$ intro price for me.
Well, I'll wait for better prices...
Or I skip it completely because why do I need another EQ.
Don't even know how many I already have.
Fifty all in all or more?

That's weird, I tried to use both of my February vouchers ($75 and $25) and their system refuses to cumulate both, despite the amount of the cart being higher than the minium required for.

^ you get both 75 and 25 vouchers? I didn't think it worked like that.

I think you can only use one voucher of those types per transaction. So the lowest price you can get on this on intro is $49.99, if you get the discounted price and use a $75 voucher.
GaryG, they've been sending generic $25 vouchers for a while, but made the practice more obvious and universal by sending people a $25 voucher and also an individual $50 or $75 voucher if you qualify from spending enough over a year prior. Since the $25 was already generic most months this is not too different in practice from how any savvy user was interacting with their sales for some months already, but it does make it easier for folks who were not aware of that. (And maybe cuts down on people offering to sell the $25 voucher.)

If the emulation is anything like their knif synth, or the amek eq200, then I'm not too excited. Not been overly impressed by brainworx lately, much more interested in the 3rd party devs (Lindell, NeOld and some others?).

Really? Knifonium seems great for me. Complicated as hell though, but its not a brainworx faultSiliconDeath wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 1:06 am If the emulation is anything like their knif synth, or the amek eq200, then I'm not too excited. That's a bummer about the vouchers not stacking... was just demoing tonight for that reason. I don't hate it (soma plug). Initial impression Is it's very subtle (imo), which can be nice, and I find I make good decisions more easily with these types of plugs.
Annoyingly I won't purchase if the vouchers don't stack, and my demo will be long dead before I see a 29.99 or less option pop up... I've poured some cash into PA and finally thought it was giving me some genuine kudos... tsk tsk... shame on me lol... at least I actually use and like the stuff I own from them

In principle I just don't need another EQ right now, even a fancy one. Love the Brainworx Knifonium, personally, I think it has a great sound and it's fun to use, and some day when the Soma can be had for $29.99 or lower I'll demo it and see what I think. Today though I don't want to put anything else on the pile

used to be the case times ago
until PA realized that people collected vouchers and waited and stacked them
and went shopping for 0,- regulary
