Intel 12900k has just been released. Best in class performance, giving AMD and Apple a run for their money.

Of course it's always a matter of taste and needs. I love to build rather efficient PC's and I'm actually very happy with my 5900x, The only downside is the need for a entry mid range level graphics card ( and no, a GT 1030 did not work well for me, on both Intel and AMD )
The prices are too high for a GPU!

I slammed a expensive Noctua NH-U12A on my CPU to built a fairly small ITX Computer.
Great thing, heat is no problem.
Don't know if I would do this with the 12900k and reading the specs if the better single thread performance justifies the ( yearly ) cost.

Was that the GT1030 with DDR4 ram by any chance? Borrowed one and goodness it's bad.

Recently rebuilt my ITX PC. Nothing flashy, R7 5700G, enough memory, and am working on a gaming machine based on an R5 5600G and RX6600 GPU. With secondhand prices still high for components, now was the time to cash in on the old R5 3600.

Happily my Noctua NH-U14S fits inside the Fractal Core 500. With the onboard GPU and an EVGA power supply, it's ridiculously quiet.

No, not to the level of scan. There are some stores that allow you to buy prebuilts with older parts and no customisation before order. PC specialist would probably ship to Finland, but I can't think of any companies that let you pick the parts and optimise it for Pro audio and Video in Europe besides them, that are anywhere near reputable.. There are plenty of US options but then you'll be paying massive import duty. Some companies offer maybe one preconfigured PC or laptop, like XMG or PC specialist or Music Store Proffestionel, but the fact that scan allows you to configure everything and has a pro audio team, seems like a better option to at least try first. Also PC specialist is known to not pack the PCs that we'll for shipping. (I've saw some reviews of the PC actually showing through the shipping box lol)

12700K and 12900K require liquid cooling (AIO) to get high performance. No need zillion tracks. I better stick with 12600K. Regards
