What do you think about the slide-in panel? I think it's questionable with regard to UI/UX. They should consider an option to keep the panel opened or closed despite the state saved in the preset. In it's current form it's very annoying to have it opening/closing when stepping through presets.

For sure Softube doesn't seem to utitlize the vst3 at rest, no audio cpu saving's mode.

Exactly. It defeats the purpose of one of the useful aspects of VST3. I fear many devs will never deliver proper VST3 versions of their older plugins, just wrapped VST2s.

How loud is the noise on the chorus? Can't demo it again to check.

Just inserting it on an empty track in Reaper using the default peak metering shows about -69dbfs. It's certainly audible by itself once you turn the volume up a bit.
