Will be comparing with Pulsar Echorec which is my goto character delay (yes, I am aware one is magnetic tape and the other magnetic drum).

Haha, so well done to Softube for this smart marketing ploy. When Tape Echoes came out I was basically "meh, I have loads of delays, I don't need this..." then I picked up the Dirty Tape last week for free, heard about the 29 Euro crossgarde offer this weekend and thought "oh well, I'll give it a try"... 30 minutes later, Tape Echoes purchased! Ha. They got me

I was already willing to get this plugin if it hit a low enough sale price, I like it a lot and am grateful for the discount however they went about providing it. I feel like it has exceptional clarity for a tape-style delay plugin, while still doing the "squish" and character on the repeats. I used it a bunch on this track:
