Do you mean simply choosing EQ wisely in the context of the track?eytanmich123 wrote: Sun Jan 30, 2022 7:47 amNot really. the concept of unmasking was conceived MANY YERS ago - maybe not as slick and shiny as Gf (withFleer wrote: Sat Jan 29, 2022 1:54 am And the truest innovator of them all: SoundTheory. Gullfoss rocks.
just about every high profile eng. using it) but it just works (Admittingly a little quirky to find the sweetspot). and it's FREE.

To me, SoundRadix are REAL innovators. everything they do is pure gold. and ORIGINAL. they don't copy, they don't imitate. they don't EMU. they just re-write the laws and stretch the boundaries of what's possible . THAT's innovative.

It's the last plugin I need,
what is it good for? to make it
sound unnatural / artificial?
After 3 minutes demoing it,
I knew it's not for me,
but whoever uses it and likes it,
fine
Imo the most innovative dev is ddmf.

Sometimes I wonder how many Neve and SSL desks there actually are in real life, because it seems like every developer has one! They must be making millions in plugin sales to be able to afford all this gear they supposedly model right down to individual compenents.

At this point we should all just buy an actual SSL......lol. I think they make so many emulations to compete with other companies. People also keep buying them for some reason, possibly not realizing they have Ableton Glue or whatever. With that being said, in terms of hardware/studio environment the SSl is a staple. Companies, especially Slate Digital, are showing gear heads that emulations of their favorite gear work just as well if not better.

You can get a very decent hardware SSL emulation for 800 euros (Warm Audio Bus-Comp), which is not a bad price at all; what with the duplicity of some of these avaricious plugin companies, it might turn out to be cheaper in the long run.
