In FL Studio, you can have automation curves/shapes inside clips. You can move these clips around the time line, copy&paste and make unique clips to get automation clip that doesn’t affect the earlier clips.

Anything similar in other DAWs (for windows)?

Bitwig has additive and multiplicative inner clip-based modulation curves which modify the track based absolute ones and many other tricks

but can't even start to explain it, it's like the Matrix you have to see it for yourself

The automation in the Bitwig clip can also be different lengths than the clip... both shorter and longer. Very handy

btw. compared to FL the min<>max range knobs are missing as a workaround I typically automate(remote controlling) the mix modulator

lifte is too short for pixel hunting

They are called Clip Envelopes in Ableton Live. Clips are always "unique" in Live.

The Clips Envelopes can be unlinked and have different length and looping settings from the Clip.

There is "Automation" (works like any other host) and "Modulation" (it is relative to current value, may do nothing if the current value is zeroed and hence allows no range of modulation).

so in the Bitwig you can loop the clip and/or loop the automation(from clips) and it can be modified further

with additionally clip-based curves

Reaper is the most similar one to FL Studio in this regard
