So according to Liquidsonics pace for AS is still pre-release... :(
It doesn't matter. You don't need a native iLok Manager or Pace extensions to use Pace with native plugins.
While the iLok Manager doesn't matter, I am not aware of how to link ARM code to Intel libraries/API's (e.g. the actual Pace protection libraries). The problem is Rosetta 2 does not have the capability to translate part of a binary and not others. I also suspect that Xcode doesn't allow linking ARM targets to Intel libraries.

Catch up, dude. The LiquidSonics betas work with the currently released version of iLok Manager and its corresponding Pace daemons.

The Pace Eden client library has been native since September, and many native plugins are already out using it (Eventide and Nembrini for example). The Fusion library, which LiquidsSonics and Soundtoys uses, has been native for a couple months in beta, and is about to go final. Those are the only bits that need to be native.

iLok Manager and the Pace daemons don't need to be native, because they communicate with the Eden and Fusion clients on a local network socket, not via an ABI.

I don't want to argue about this, but I never said the daemons needed to be native. It is exactly the client library I was referring to. The only reason I made the post is because you appeared to claim it didn't matter if the Pace client SW was native.

Whatever

I said "Pace extensions" not "Pace client libraries." Perhaps learn not to "acktshually" so much. It leads to less butthurt.

Am I unreasonably impatient, or does it justifiably irk me that we still don't have M1 Native status from:

- Flux
- Empirical Labs
- McDSP

I wish these guys would get their heads in the game. Flux especially needs M1 and resize-able GUI to be enjoyably useable again.

Re. iLok - anyone noticed that older licences don't work under M1? Eg. MOTU Machfive3 soundbanks (ufs files, circa 2012) that normally load fine in UVI Falcon will refuse to load in native mode (no licence found in iLok), while working fine under Rosetta. Couldn't get ilok support to say anything more than "Q1 2022".

I've given up hope on McDSP... I get that they are busy with APB, but come on...
But it pales in comparison with IK Multimedia... still can't use TRacks natively, it's really annoying.

Apparently KiloHearts' PhasePlant V.2, which has been 'on the horizon' for months now, will be Apple Silicon native. Plus Snap Heap and the Snap-ins. Free upgrade too.

full bucket music have updated a bunch of their plugins with UB2 (and VST3) support:

FB-7999 ‑ v1.1.0
Bucket Pops ‑ v1.1.0
Fury-800 ‑ v2.4.0
Tricent mk III ‑ v1.1.1
FB-3300 ‑ v1.2.0
Stigma ς ‑ v1.3.0
Mono/Fury ‑ v2.3.0
WhispAir – v1.1.0
MPS ‑ v1.2.0

I only have Bucket Pops installed here and when updating I had to right-click to open the pkg file as it's unsigned. Not sure if this is the same with the plugins. The updated AU works fine here with Big Sur/Intel.

Are there any other modular synth environments that are M1 native yet? U/HE Bazille, Bespoke Synth, Bitwig's Grid are the only ones that I'm aware of so far.

Hoping for a native Voltage Modular eventually, but I imagine that will take a while, considering all the third party modules needing to be ported.

miRack, a VCV Rack fork, has been M1 native pretty much from the start.

Haven't used miRack on my M1 but Cardinal is M1 native too.

miRack is not native.
