I have a LAG Tramontane nylon strung acoustic. I picked it up on Ebay for £50 (I was the only bidder). Gorgeous sounding guitar and very playable.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Mon Jan 31, 2022 10:36 pm Nice. I’d have mistaken it for a Godin. Am I right that it’s nylon strung?
I do want a cheap classical at some point myself.

Yeah. I checked their website ... I'm as surprised as you are.
Thought it was semi-acoustic when I first saw it ...

Mine is the LAG Tramontane TN66A in black ... it's a more traditional shape than the one pictured.
You can hear it on this track: https://of-songs.bandcamp.com/track/thanks

Install a Telecaster bridge pickup into that! That would be cooler than the Acoustasonic.thecontrolcentre wrote: Mon Jan 31, 2022 10:23 pm Going to go have a look at this James Neligan EW3000CN tomorrow. It's for sale at my local* guitar shop for £150 (pre-owned). Looks in great condition and I don't have an electro-acoustic (yet).![]()

So, I was talking to my friend the multi-millionaire guitarist about buying a new Fender Telecaster,
He recommended that, unless you are going to mod the guitar and change most of the
HW on it, buy the American model. Better setup, better made, better quality, better investment
in his professional opinion.

He didn't have a lot of time to go into detail, but yeah that's pretty much it. He was prettyWatchTheGuitar wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 10:54 pm So that’s his errm expert opinion? He’s really going out on a limb there.
reluctant to recommend the cheaper models, only relenting when I told him that I might

I was very close recently to buying a Performer tele with a neck humbucker, but I just don’t know if I could justify spending a grand on one when something like a G&L Bluesboy is about a third of the price.
