Ignoring this synth was a big mistake. Lesson learned.
Quick newbie question: Is there a modifier key for adjusting a parameter while a modulator is selected/highlighted? No luck here with the usual combos.

Thanks for the Dark skin edits. But maybe no fastpic.org links next time? I made the error of trying to zoom the picture and got quite an interesting visual onslaught of carnal kind.Alexander137 wrote: Tue Jan 25, 2022 5:10 pm I'm reworking the Surge Dark skin for myself a little and a little question arose: what is responsible for the color of this element?

There isn't. You can right-click then edit value then type in a new value though. Another method would be adjusting modulation from Mod List, in a pop-out window, then you can adjust the parameter in the main window, and modulation in Mod List window.Broken wrote: Wed Jan 26, 2022 6:16 am Ignoring this synth was a big mistake. Many thanks to the Surge Team.....baconpaul wrote: Tue Jan 18, 2022 2:34 pm We are happy to release Surge XT 1.0 today.
Surge XT 1.0 is available at https://surge-synthesizer.github.io. It installs with a new plugin ID ("Surge XT") side by side with our version from April 2021, Surge 1.9.

I've noticed in the linux version, if the main gui is too far to the right of the screen, that the nested preset menus get separated from one another, and selecting a preset
becomes an arcade experience. Moving the gui to the far left, and the nesting issue is gone. Could well be a linux windowing problem, waiting to entangle well-meaning coders
Surge is great, I even remembered how to use my guitar with it's built-in effects. Not saying the effects plugin is chopped liver, it's just on another plate.

That's most definitely an issue with JUCE vs whatever particular Linux WM you're using.

it does like its predecessor since quite a while now
doesn't it work for you?
menu > zoom > select sizes to your taste

works here: mac, mojave, logic, AU, surgeXT v1.1...

Hi friends,
I just installed Surge on a PC and a Mac, and I can't believe how good it is.
But being visually impaired, I need to know a few more things about the way to manipulate it with a screenreader. You have made incredible efforts for this plug-in's accessibility and I thank you for that. Since this is a general thread, I wonder if I can reach someone who could answer accessibility -related questions which I know do not concern everyone here.
And yes, I read the manual.
I've tried to connect with you on Discord, , but discord is not the most accessible thing in the world, and I failed.
So thanks to anyone who can help.
Cheers,

Hi,
I have improved since my last post. Even though it's installed on Mac and PC, I've been concentrated on the PC and Reaper for the moment.
I discovered that the application key or shift F 10 to open a menu related to a parameter did not work. Instead, I have 2 do a right click to open these menus, which is not the easiest thing to do with a screenreader, as the mouse does not automatically focus on what the screenreader is reading, so it's a two-step process.
Is there a reason why shift F 10 or the application key would not work?
Another feature request, having a parameter search function, where you could type a character string and Surge would display the relevant parameters in a list.
Thanks for all the efforts you already made.
