there's definitely been at least one sale because i bought it for quite a lot less than €250+VAT or so.

accsone doesn't do sales very often, that's true.

but a quick search shows they did sales in 2019 and 2020.

I remember browsing Thomann and seeing it on decent discount a year or two back. And this was after I'd purchased it and fallen for the 'no sales' shtick. Pretty annoying.
