hello everyone.. well.. i just recently acquired sonar 4.0 and everything is kinda like the old sonar except one thing.. whenever i move samples to the left or right it automatically moves by a measure. that's cool and all, but i want to disable that feature so i can move the samples freely like in the previous sonar programs..

so my quesiton is .. How do i disable this feature???

This is a function of the grid snap. I don't have sonar in front of me at the moment so I am working from memory.

First of all lets put some context to where you need to look at. On the left hand side there is the track list. Just above it are some icons. One of them looks like a grid and has a down arrow next to it.

Now to change the grid snap, select the track you want to edit. Then hit the grid looking button above the track view. This will give you all sorts of "snap" options. Experiment and pick the snap option that seems to best suit you.

BTW, it defaults to "measure" which is the behaviour you are describing.

Hope that helps!!!
