Thenatan is an indie developer and might be taking the same stance as Klanghelm.
Klanghelm FAQ wrote:Do you offer demo versions?

No. At least for now. Because it takes time to create demos and it takes time to maintain them. I want to focus on the actual product, spend my time on supporting that. Keep in mind, I offer my plugins at extremely affordable prices. One reason I can keep Klanghelm prices low is by refraining from putting my time into demo versions.
FWIW, there are a few videos for Vybz. See: https://www.kvraudio.com/video/thenatan

We just need some affluent and prolific KVR members to buy it and enlighten us. :hihi:

Apologies for my part in hijacking this RC-20 thread.

I'm surprised at how advanced this seems to be. I thought he was just a guy who made romplers with some 3rd party shell. It's caught my interest.

I'm quite effluent at the moment, so I took a gamble and bought it, as I love stuff like this, and am a big fan of RC-20. Looks like there may be a demo version at some point as it installs in 'demo' mode.

Anyway, only played with it briefly, but impressed so far. It does some things better than RC-20 (the reverb and delay LFOs for a start, nice selection of different reverb types, the syncing etc..) and some not as well (the distortions, no 'flux' (booo!), no 'wobble' section (the 'time machine' is a bit crap to be honest - little control over it)).

CPU very good - similar to RC20, i.e, super low considering what you're running. Easy install and authorisation (inclusion of .dll files in the package is a nice touch), and the docs are good.

I'll definitely get a lot of use out of it I think, as a companion to, rather than replacing RC-20. On with some more messing about.

I just bought a new laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor and I was wondering if it is compatible with the plugin RC-20 Retro Color? Does anyone know or have experience if it runs with this processor?

Before I pick up RC-20 (£15 at PB) what other Lo-Fi plugins should I consider? I have Audiothing Reels and the Arturia Mello freebie. At that price I could just pick it up anyway but I am trying to keep my plug-in folder under control. What are your favourites? Flexibility is key for me rather than a specific flavour of sound.

The vinyl and noise Devious Machines Texture has lots of that and more. For the tape stuff, there's Waves Factory Cassette, Aberrant DSP Sketch Cassette, Chow Tape, the Arturia Mello plugin (was free, not sure about now), the softube Dirty tape (also got it free recently).

You could look at Vybz too (https://www.thenatan.store/p/vybz-fx-plugin/) very similar topology with a few extra modules (convolution, echoes etc) Opinion seems split so check the demo. $29, was$9.99 until a few days ago so could be offered for that again.

Personally, with what you've got, I'd just grab Izotopes free Vinyl for the surface noise and maybe Chowtape for extra tape options. Or just layer noise samples from the web, gives you more control/options ultimately.
