Hm… Sounds as if I still have to wait for that gravelly country & roots voice…
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Have you tried Solaria set all the way to male with effects added?Spitfire31 wrote: Fri Feb 04, 2022 3:50 pm Hm… Sounds as if I still have to wait for that gravelly country & roots voice…![]()

For me, besides ease of use and good sound quality, I like Dreamtonics/SVS because they are doing a lot of things "right" compared to Yamaha's glacial output and treatment of non-Japanese markets as an afterthought.Musical Gym wrote: Fri Feb 04, 2022 9:44 am Now I need to figure out why I need this when I already have Vocaloid.
- Rapid, ambitious development
- Non-expiring freeware version and voices
- First-party emphasis on realistic voices rather than voice-acted ones
- VST/AU support (VOCALOID's VST was restricted to Cubase for the longest time)
- Multilingual singing, with public statement from developer that they hope to expand the number of languages

Will Muxin be available for SV Pro?

Qing Su & Saki sound both great in English
Stardust Infinity coming soon from Quadimension sounds impressive as well
Anybody knows the licence EUA from Quadimension ?
Is it fully royalty free like Solaria & Dreamsonics voicebanks ?

Ridiculously good sounding demo of Kevin by the same person who did the silly one posted earlier:
The life you have, the life you need, is not the same as the one in your dreams

I did some DeepL translations of all the breaking announcements on Dreamtonics' BiliBili page, checked their Twitter...afaict nope. Sorry, @ZincT.
There's still hope! Quadimension mmmmmight be in the process of making a male voice ("Quaid") that is described as a "villain". Those types are often rough and deep sounding, right?Spitfire31 wrote: Fri Feb 04, 2022 3:50 pm Hm… Sounds as if I still have to wait for that gravelly country & roots voice…![]()

Yes, but the real question is whether Quadimension will sell outside China. The official Synthesizer V forum has some helpful posts on using proxy buyers to get Chinese digital goods, so there's always that avenue.

Some examples of Ryo's Cross-Lingual English. He seems to have more of an accent than other voices, pronunciation sounds a little mushy
This tweet with video says that Ryo's English Cross-Lang is "noisy" and for the example given, I agree. But the overall tone is appealing, I will definitely be buying.

Having heard that other demo posted by @Greenstorm33 and the more "accented" performances from Ryo I'm now leaning more towards Kevin.
Argggh, now I have heard your other posts for Ryo and think I prefer his tone! Never mind, I'll probably end up with both anyway

Thank you for the heads up! It so happens that I'm married to a 'proxy' with Taobao and Wechat accounts…Pelicanomicon wrote: Sat Feb 05, 2022 6:40 amYes, but the real question is whether Quadimension will sell outside China. I'm trying to place an order on the Dreamtonics webiste but I keep getting a Captcha error so it won't complete the order.
I have solved the Captcha and tried different browsers but still no joy. I cannot see any contact details on the website either
Has anyone ordered successfully and if so what did you do?
Thanks

I bought SV Studio Pro and Eleanor at Anicute: www.anicute.com/
I think it's based in Taiwan. Worked just fine!
