I think lots of it had to do with Pandemic gear shortages too (but I don't know if that was the case with Digitakt). Price gouging galore on lots of stuff.cryophonik wrote: Fri Feb 04, 2022 5:58 pm Yeah, or they'll price it at what looks like a fair price (ohhhhh,... plus $150 for shipping)
I'm not a fan of selling on Reverb due to costs, but it's the most convenient for me. I have 9-12 things to sell but I'm trying to work up the energy for dealing with people... people are the worst.

Quality notwithstanding, I'm really surprised by the price of these, compared to many units that have been "inspired by" them. TipTop could have charged half-again more, to almost twice the price, and still sold out (imo).lnikj wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 6:19 pmPhysically I can't say they exude quality. The panel is super thin and the 281t's PCB was smeared with IPA/flux (worst I have seen on a factory built).
Whilst I have no 4U to compare to them to, they sound fantastic. A few cables in and straight away you are hearing THOSE sounds. I love themHours and hours of tweaking will be had

They do sound fabulous! Todd Barton has been doing a series on them:
And Cinematic Laboratory just scored a couple as well.

So my careful slow approach to eurorack has... failed completely... and I've ordered 7 or 8 system 100 modules.
Lost in the eurocracK hole.

Those system 100 modules are an incredible value, particularly for those starting down this path, and/or those who want that sound/approach, and even for a fairly well fleshed-out system.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sat Feb 05, 2022 9:35 pm So my careful slow approach to eurorack has... failed completely... and I've ordered 7 or 8 system 100 modules.

{addendum: just saw the modular grid image... nice!}

I've already got quite a few cables, but I am wondering if I'll have to move some modules around just to reduce the length of cables needed.

yeah they do seem to be very nice, especially for the price.Shabdahbriah wrote: Sat Feb 05, 2022 10:18 pmThose system 100 modules are an incredible value, particularly for those starting down this path, and/or those who want that sound/approach, and even for a fairly well fleshed-out system.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sat Feb 05, 2022 9:35 pm So my careful slow approach to eurorack has... failed completely... and I've ordered 7 or 8 system 100 modules.

between these, tiptop and doepfer alone, you could build a monster for bugger all outlay
