Insane deal! Finally got it and after quick demo my first impression is huge posibilities that it offers. Like the sound so far, need to dive deeper, but I can see it along with XO being stable on my drum track for the future.

Not really what I wanted, hiss and crackles

Any other recommendations? Thanks

Got it yesterday. It's insanely good. And has native AS support. nice

quick demo.
I have cassette, Mello-Fi and dirty tape.
I find it.. good.
I wish it had oversampling, some algos can get crispy (Distort:Air).
I'll probably buy it anyway

It looks like there is no VST3 version available. Copy protection is challenge/response, right? Do you really have to install a plugin manager it get it installed and activated?

yeah you do. It's terrible, i wish they offered separate installers

I find XLN's sw manager perfectly usable.

I own almost all their plugins, though.

I find it redundant.
But these things are apparently very personal anyway, still better than Ik and Arturia

I have Flux Center, Native Access, Softube Central, XLN Installer, Arturia Center, Tracktion Manager, iLok Manager, Codemeter, Steinberg Authorizer..... at some point I stopped to really care. :x

At the moment i only use stuff with serial numbers - or sometimes even no protection at all.
Still debating wether i should install some the the NI stuff when they go ARM native as it would be the only intrusive copy protection i'd have on my system and this just for one or two plugins
The GAS is always greener on the other side!

Having an install manager for a single plugin is pretty silly. I get the appeal if you have more from the same company, but I generally don't. And ironically from the companies that i do have more, i.e. u-he, voxengo, fabfilter, they don't use managers :D

I know. But what can you do if the plugin you like happens to use a whole installer?
Like I already mentioned: at some point I stopped to care.

I think he was referring to me.
And i'm indeed on the fence.
I really like Guitar Rig, but i don't depend on it.
Depending on how fast it would open on my new system, i wouldn't need the dedicated Raum, as it is included inside GR. But on my old system it takes about 10s to open the GUI, even if the plugin is already loaded, thus the standalone Raum is still required)
Reaktor would really be just a nice bonus. Never really made my own stuff and nowadays there is so much good stuff available, even on the experimental side, that i don't really need it anymore either.
So for me, it would basically mean having to install a C/R install manager just for one plugin: GR
It is nice, but i actually find it much nicer to have a system that doesn't require more than key files at most (if any)
