i guess i prefer the original trilogy.
not because they are better necessarily, but because they are ingrained in so many of my memories.
duel of fates from episode 1, is a great track, possibly one of my faves from across the galaxy. up there with imperial march for power and an edge to it.
lukes theme always makes me want to stand and stare in to the distance.
and have sex with my twin sister of course.

prequel trilogy, my son's childhood.
my granddaughter came a bit late for the last lot, but in a few years we will introduce her fully to the galaxy

i liked them tbh.
just im a lot older, so they don't feel as magickal
but there were younglings at the showings, who loved them as much as i remember loving the originals

i go to comicon(well used to
) and even in these marvel/dc days, most kids are jedis or sith.
so the kids are still loving it, as it should be

some vision ...Synthack wrote: Sat Feb 05, 2022 9:24 pmYah I've seen them all, the Disney ones just didn't feel right compared to George Lucas's vision. I know George wasn't the best writer, but his ideas and vision were what made Starwars Starwars IMHO.vurt wrote: Sat Feb 05, 2022 9:15 pm new ones im not as familiar with, haven't seen the films as many times, original trilogy, my childhood.

Disney just tried to make it epic and go in all these different directions and it kind of just felt like every other EPIC scifi movie.

i got fed up with grown men on fb moaning about it, ruining it for kids.
things change
we still have ours (i still have the original cuts on vhs) let successive generations enjoy theirs.

It kept it fun, and yes Mr Lucas even said so himself that it was made for young people.
