I have voted! Been a while since I had to do it. And this time there were a whole bunch of real treats in there. Great stuff!

It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

So long as you gave me a 6 :D I'll be happy :)

Well, occasionally I'm going through stuff again, but apparently on this machine I can't adjust my votes anymore, which is a bit of a pity, but it's still fine. I'm sure we'll have a happy voting discussion again later, hahahaha... :hihi: ...especially with all the newcomers.

This month there are some very gentle and calm tracks which catch my attention. There is a lot of creativity and experience in them.

I've not really got any point of comparison. I only once before joined in and that was when the chosen Synth was ZynAddSubFX (at least 10 years ago). At that time Yoshimi was still very similar so I was allowed to get away with it :)

Big kudos to Taron and Kraftraum for commenting on every single submission, and not sparing with constructive criticism. It's really like they want you to step up your game.

You're mistaken. Kraftraum has not commented on my song.

Oooops, I had the impression, everywhere I went to vote and comment they had both already been there. Going back to your track right now...

It's a high-risk maneuver! :hihi:
I did skip commenting on 1 or 2 tracks, because I just had nothing to say or useful to add.
I really enjoy to read your impressions on my tracks and believe it's the #2 most wonderful thing about the OSC that we get to share our thoughts, possibly give tips and do boost each other higher and higher. Thanks for noticing, SeBaer, that's great! :tu:

Indeed, I take a lot of time listening to all the OSC tracks (and also all SC-Tracks), from start till end, to pick things out and point out things that stand out to me in the track :)
I think direct feedback is important for everyone to improve themselves. Whether everyone wants to accept that is up to them.

Without this feedback, I would have stayed the same after the last 10 years in the OSC 8)

Have a great weekend

Unfortunately you have to wait, I'm coming :)
SC received my amount of review/comments in the last days as spam :hihi:

And thanks for that. But it doesn't mean I don't** keep making the same mistakes over and over again

That's seriously messed up.*

Edit: * Especially considering that all the real spammers still get through...
** Edit2: typing while drunk was a bad idea. Missed the second negation...

I know almost every bit of criticism I've gotten has been constructive and positive. Admittedly I've been a little too nervous to read my comments in my past few submissions. I'm not sure why. But I know the criticism is part of the process of getting better. I do really appreciate feedback. And I'm trying to give more of my own feedback but I feel a bit intimidated and worried about saying something, well, stupid. But I find I learn the most from listening. And reading comments on other people's track... pointing out the kick, or the bassline, or some sound or technique. This really is a very deep school of music.
