I like the $19 price but I know after a couple days of I'd forget about it. I already have lots of other plugins offering wobble/wear/saturation/noise. Most of those I barely reach for.

I know. But what can you do if the plugin you like happens to use a whole installer?
Like I already mentioned: at some point I stopped to care.
I do like RC-20, so i'm probably just gonna buy it. Does deal ends 6th feb mean i can buy it tomorrow, or does it mean i need to buy it before tomorrow?

RC20 is good.
CP is not too bad. NI Access is also perfectly fine (except for insisting on installing 32bit plugins).
When you have a lot of things from any of them, installer makes life easier.
Otoh, I deleted Acoustica stuff. Gigs of stuff and awful installation procedure. It sounded fine but so do other plugins.

I'm a guitar rig person. Really wish there was some sort of communication about the future of it.FapFilter wrote: Sat Feb 05, 2022 5:59 pm I think he was referring to me.

I think it's future is actually pretty bright (for NI-standards
)
It had some nice updates. Ok, most of them were already existing plugs that got incorporated inside GR, which IMO could already have happened inside GR5). But hey - they are free and of great quality.
Native Apple Silicone compatibility for some (or even most?) of their current “non legacy plugs“ is already in beta.
But of course we haven't seen any of the promised new amps, which were supposed to be easy with their new “self learning“ modeling system, but i still think it is still one of the few plugs from NI which isn't abandonware as of yet.
And sorry for derailing this thread…. I'm out now

My low value thoughts:
The wow and wear nodes (Wobble and Magnetic) I find useful, but I think the LFO rates need to allow for slower values.
Distortion node is pretty nice, I find the tube is not too thin or gritty. Useful on synth bass.
Bitcrusher (aka 'Digital') and Vinyl Effects (aka 'Noise') aren't my thing. no comment
Reverb (aka 'Space') is unflattering once you turn up the decay. Odd for a Reverb named 'Space'. I was expecting something more airy and rich sounding.
The master Low and High Cuts are a nice inclusion as is the tone and stereo controls. I see I can automate the L/H sliders in Cubase which could be useful for sweeps.
It would be better to have more control over tone and stereo per frequency range imo. maybe 3 multibands on the master section of the UI or a way to control each of the module rows per band on the multiband.
I hope for an RC-20 XL that has these extra parameters and a much smoother sounding Space/Reverb with the enhanced LFOs (slower rates). Also the ability to drag and drop the node into whatever order you desire and some different output pathing (Serial, Parallel, Hybrid routes). Maybe a basic stereo delay would be handy too.
