It does not actually do pitch changes but can add some nice theremin like noises that will work as background sounds. I wish it had midi out so I could control synths. Might be a good circuit bending project as well.

I've been really getting into this lately. Shame I don't have a microphone to post mp3s up. Might try using my headphones plugged into the mic socket tomorrow.

The top one stutters though nursery rhymes and has a pitch knob (which speeds up the playback) to quite silly proportions. The little built in speaker can kick out some major highs. Makes a clear tone at about 16Khz when the pitch knob is at it's maximum (or minimum because I put it on the wrong way
)
Bottom one is ugly because I had to crack the case open. The knob just sweeps the pitch around and the photocell alters the pitch according to light. You get some cool 50s sci-fi noises if you hold it near a light bulb and flick it

No worries I just don't get what you use this for. Speak and Spell is before my time and was out of fashion by the time my kids were preschool age - they used computers.Beardedone wrote:
