Noise Engineering Ruina, free experimental distortion plugin

Hey

I wonder why Ruina, the free distortion plugin from Noise Engineering, doesn't get more attention. There is no dedicated thread. Ok now there is one And the last update made the plugin even more exciting with a new modulation engine with four LFOs.

It's definitely not the bread and butter distortion plugin but a unique multi-fx effects for all-kinds of distortions . I paired it with the ABL3 Synthesizer and the harmonize perfectly

They've captured some of their sound-shaping magic from their hardware modules and offered it up for free. Their Freequel Bundle with the Ruina effect, the Sinc Vereor and Virt Vereor synthesizers are some very slick and modern-sounding plug-ins. Ruina sounds especially cool on vocals and it only takes minor adjustments in parameters to give synth bass an exciting and biting edge.

A have a couple of Versio modules in my Eurorack setup, and honestly I like the Ruina plugin more than the Ruina Versio firmware for whatever reason.

It doesn't seem like an everyday sort of distortion by any means, yet I keep finding uses for it.

For those who wants to know, it appears to be a C/R with an option for offline authorization.
