HeyGuys,

is there a way to loop regions (audio/midi)
in studio one like i can do it in logic X ?
there you just choose the region, check loop and it loops the chosen region infinite or to the next region.

thanks

It is sort of possible, but with some work. You can define regions with the arranger track and create a macro to loop the selected region. You'd have to set regions for each project, but you could use the same macro in all projects.

thanks!
so you loop the whole region, not just one object?

people asking for that for years.
must be impossible to implement.

I'm not sure you can play several projects at once and even if, they wouldn't be synchronized.

So not sure what good it's for?

Sorry for the misunderstanding, it's not for playing several projects at once, that can't be done.
I mentioned it because if you want to use this technique in various projects you'd have to set regions manually for each project, unlike in e.g. Live where you don't have to do it because you have scenes in the session view. Look at S1 regions as scenes in Live (I don't know how it's called in Logic)

to make thing clear, i just wanna loop one midi region for instance. not set the loopmarkers.

you can loop anywhere between locators, but you can't loop only one track or one midi pattern if that's what you want. You can only loop the entire timeline

Ctrl+L by default will loop whatever you have selected. You can create your own macro in S1 to have it solo that track and start playing it.

F**king hell. You're bad at explaining what you want :dog:

Perhaps use a .gif or video next time?

What you want is called Shared Duplicates in Studio One - click on the clip and Shift+D; this will create what they call shared copy/duplicate, which means it's linked with the original, so if you change one all the others will follow. And they don't have to be next to each other.

Also check pattern clips.

BTW, you might want to go through that YT playlist :)

Studio One does have shared instances or what Logic calls Ghost Clips, however it doesn't have the same looping behavior as Logic where you just click loop and it loops a region until you tell it to stop. It's not as convenient in S1 as just dragging a region and looping it but it shift-d is not too bad. The plus side is that you can drag these regions anywhere on the timeline and they still are all just instances of the original clip.
Studio One // Bitwig // Logic Pro // Ableton // Reason // FLStudio // MPC // Force // Maschine

thanks for your answers, will try this!
