It's still at 79€, which is the second cheapest price I've seen @softube.com. It's worth it.rasmusklump wrote: Fri Dec 31, 2021 4:48 pm My bad, I missed the unlockable offer for the Model 72. Could kick my ass![]()

Agree. The Doepfer PWM is something special. I was surprised, frankly.Rastkovic wrote: Fri Dec 31, 2021 4:34 pm Also a very nice combination. Doepfer (PWM) oscillator + Model 72 modules....

it might be that im becoming a modular snob but i think that the moog sounds better coming through the modular stuff than it does as the model 72 set up
might be wrong but thats what i think at the moment

Some slightly experimental sounds with the Rings module and a small portion of Doepfer ring modulation to welcome the year 2022.

(I would totally take the patch, if you were willing to share it.)

Testing, testing....
The Model 84 modules have surprisingly "low" CPU usage, compared to the Doepfer modules. Patch is not finished yet.

As you can see, I ended up swapping some Model 84 for Doepfer modules. It doesn't look that stylish anymore, but it's the sound that counts. The Doepfer modules give me a broader range of sounds, from soft to aggressive.
I love paraphonic synths, it's not just a cheap replacement for a poly synth for me. Usually I build this type of synths in Reaktor, in Softube Modular it just makes sense to me, because Ableton Live allows you to map multiple parameters to one knob. I guess, this is also possible in other DAWs.
If you want to do this in Ableton Live, it's important to save the Live project first, open it again and then start mapping the parameters. Otherwise, for some reason the assignments got messed up.
