At no point did I say this was THE music making device. The OP asked if the device could be used to make music. The answer is yes. You don't need the peripheral, monitor, keyboard mouse, etc, but you are going to have a bad time if that's your use case, it's still primarily designed and marketed as a gaming device. no one is going to choose this for music, adding all the peripheral devices you list, it's no longer a portable daw which is what the op suggests. as in that screen and two joysticks.

Spec wise there is nothing stopping you from installing your DAW and VSTs of choice (something you can't do on an iPad for example) and go to town. It's more than powerful enough to run any modern DAW or VST.
I'm not recommending people get this over a PC or laptop, I'm just saying the capability is there.
