Instead de-esser, you can use it as high frequency "tamer" to get warmer sounds.

It is convenient to work with this singularly as a component from Loaded* - and I really do like how it tames sibilance/smoothes out vocals.

*I had to stop using Loaded as a strip, as I noticed that when I engage the compressor, I get a slight distortion that I can't seem to dial out - most notable on synths (this is in Logic/Catalina).
