Yeah it was a shock that they stopped supporting Atari…

I remember being quite indifferent about that at the time since I was a FL aficionado.... But if you invested into Logic... that sucksfelis wrote: Sat Feb 12, 2022 3:12 am Seriously - I thought of one. Whatever the update was when Logic went to Mac only. I had bought Logic for pc for a fair amount of money before that happened.
I had a pirated version of emagic Logic for Windows back then and I really hated it...
It was clearly designed for a one-button mouse workflow IIRC (a Mac thing from way back)

It looks like I can submit a vote again? Well, whatever.
After thinking for about 3 seconds, today I would vote for:
1. Acid Pro - any update after Sonic Foundry sold it to Sony/Magix and whoever had it in the meantime.
2. Cool Edit Pro / Audacity - any update after it was taken by Adobe.
Those corporations bought and destroyed once very good pieces of software. Audacity didn't evolve beyond the early 2000s to this day. Acid Pro just recently got updates that should be there... 15 years ago.

Indeed! Especially that both Atari and PC's stopped being produced in the early 90s

Ah, did they? I thought you can still get Ataris based on FPGAs… And switch them to an Amiga if you wanted… But thats only for the demo scene and low res video fans…pixel85 wrote: Sat Feb 12, 2022 9:59 amIndeed! Especially that both Atari and PC's stopped being produced in the early 90s![]()
A friend of mine still has a Next computer, I think he still waits for Emagic to port Logic to it…

Do you mean Audition? Adobe has nothing to do with Audacity. Acid Pro was the first music software I'd bought, came back to it a few years ago, sad to see how it's fallen.pixel85 wrote: Sat Feb 12, 2022 9:56 am It looks like I can submit a vote again? Well, whatever.
