I'm very impressed with Icarus 2! The details are incredible in the sound! I finally couldn't resist and bought it :)

I might participate in the competition as I it seems the only way I can finish something when I'm under time pressure! I thought to use the VST3 version in Cubase but I have a GUI problem (the same problem with the VST3 versions of Rob Papen's synths!) The VST2 version is fine though (the front one is VST3 and in the background is the VST2 version):
Icarus VST3 GUI problem in Cubase 11.jpg
I tested in Bitwig 4.1 and Studio One 5.5 also and it is the same problem. Only in Ableton Live 10 it is ok!

Now, I must say I'm using 4k monitor with Windows scaled 150%. I don't have such a problem with other VST3 synths from other companies (like u-he, Arturia, ...etc).

Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

I have exacly the same issue as EnGee, both with Tone2 and Rob Papen, so I'm still using the VST2 plugs.
Mac Mini M4 Pro | 14 Cores (10P/4E) | 48GB RAM | Studio One | Reason | Bitwig Studio | Logic Pro | FL Studio | Cubase Pro | Waveform | Reaper | Renoise | ~1000 VSTs/AUs | ~350 REs

You must install the latest update to v2.0.8 or use the VST2 version. If you DAW supports both I recommend using the VST2 version, especially since Steinberg's VST3 format does not offer proper Midi support.

Some DAWs require a restart of the plugin if you change to GUI size (that's why a message-box with a text pops up that tells you to do so ;-) ).
The issue does also appear with plugins of other developers (reFX Nexus, Valhalla, etc). You must refer to the DAW developers for a fix, as the Windows scaling is handled by the DAW and not the plugin.
I tested the VST3 version with 150% Windows scale in Ableton 11, Bitwig, FL Studio, Reaper and it works as expected.

Solution1:
Restart the plugin for a single time when you changed the GUI size

Solution2:
Set Windows scaling to 100%

Solution3:
Use the VST2 version

Thank you Markus :) Updating to v2.0.8 has solved the problem (I had v2.0.7) :) VST3 version is now working ok in Cubase :tu:

Yes. The issue was fixed in the latest update:

Icarus 2.0.8 PC (free update)

New features:

- HiDPI support for the VST3 version.
- Minor enhancements for the VST3 plugin.

Fixes:

- The VST3 plugin did not properly sync the BPM-rate.
- Workaround for some DAWs that did not update the GUI properly after re-sizing it.

I'm working on 2 (can be 3) jingles. I hope I can finish them in few days. Should we send only the wave files? or/and the whole project?
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

You don't need to send the project file.
Here is that part of the instructions:

"Save your track(s) as a 96 kHz WAV file (if possible). The file-name should include your name, so that we know which submisson was submitted by whom. Each jingle should be between 30 seconds and 60 seconds length and be submitted as a separate file."

I am participating to this competition mostly to feed my curiosity what Icarus can do as experimental sound, not so interested to win something - at the moment trying to assemble some sort of post apocalyptic edm composition:)
Made 30-40 weird sounds and if somebody like it,eventually will assemble a soundset.
It's way more creative to work without any expectations, only pure fun making new sounds.
I continue to develop my nonlinear dynamic technology and results continue to surprise me,for example no limitations as type of instruments - epic pad become tight pluck and what is between in the process of transformation is surprisingly even more interesting.
I have try like 10% of Icarus options so far so may something new pop up next days so if somebody is interested to see some stuff from kitchen will show it here :)
Cheers :)

Quick demo of a preset,in the track these dynamic transformations sit way better that just static sound, that's the point of dynamic modulation, but i can't focus lately to finish any track and may not participate again, which is disappointing mostly to me cause i adore Icarus, but i am kind of perfectionist and it's pointless to do something if its not (almost)perfect.
There is two days till 1st so will try my best to finish it.
Cheers :)
