I had similar from a post surgical reaction - people around me slapping my face going "stay with me, keep talking, stay with me" It was a nice feeling just drifting off but i am glad I didnt "in the end" (lol).
People worry way too much about their death, being dead. Suffering on the other hand - that's a real shit

When the kids were little and asked about death I would say "remember before you were born? Well its like that". The negative religions - the ones with a shitty afterlife for some if not everyone - have been so psychologically destructive using fear of death as a tool for domination

gotta try not to worry about it, and enjoy the warm bit.
make some memories, in case there is an afterlife, will give you something to talk about for eternity
