The best "bad" digital reverb... https://goodhertz.co/megaverb/
Canartic
downtempo.dub.psychedelic.twang
lossless downloads here...

IMHO the best worst reverbs are from DDMF and Hornet.

I love that the list of bad verbs has the potential to be as long as the list of good ones.

I've been using it recently, and for a fact I can tell you it sounds miles better and smoother than the other recommendations here - most definitely not what the OP is looking for

I'm most likely getting stoned here, but: Toraverb

I know it can do interesting stuff, but as far as pure sound quality goes, i think it's crap
The GAS is always greener on the other side!

Indeed, but i also think that Shimmer stuff doesn't sound great

But of course for sound design everything goes, and not rarely the most “shitty“ stuff can get the most awesome results, at least if you are not going for classic or something similar

The simple and very effective ducker and thick artifical texture of toraverb got me, but i’ve stopped using it.

Shinmer is rarely on my plate - when it is i just put a granuliser before any reverb

Sound Spot Oracle fits the bill. Plus it has some additional built in goodies like saturation, lfo and compressor. I look to it when I’m need of reverb full of ‘character’.

$5 right now at plug-in boutique.

That’s about the price point I buy these ones at. Oh, as a quick aside … fan of their Union synth….

Does sound metallic if Room Size is much lower than Reverb Time.
