I want to copy over a .Wav file open in Ableton but Ableton keeps hold of file handle - any way around that ?

I prefer using cltr+N, for new Set, which also closes the current one (instead of closing Live itself).
Looking at the API, it doesn't seem to have functions/classes for putting samples offline.
