Guilty. I've always used Live and DP or Logic, (different workflow, the streamlined arguably better UX of Live vs massive feature sets in DP, Logic), but I ended up buying Bitwig, upgrading to Logic X, and getting Reaper to see which I liked best for MPE.
What I learned is they're all great with strong and weak points. On a personal level I'm sticking to the ones I've used on and off for 20 years. The only reason being that the two compliment each other, not that the other ones are worse, just different strong points.

I'm with Teksonik here.
If you look up "irrelevance" in an online dictionary, there's a link to this thread together with a full quote of the OP.
Seriously: WTF???

Of those 7…
2 were created by someone who is no longer here
1 by Intrancer
2 are parody threads
That tumor is benign and there’s no worry of metastasis.
Carry on.

Hmmm. Maybe 1 of 2 is a parody, I hope? Still doesn’t seem malignant.

I don't want to look at another DAW, but if Cubase goes the way I fear, (VST2 not loading) then I will be forced to Studio 1.
Which is something I DO NOT want to do.

You used the pronoun "I" a lot.jonljacobi wrote: Mon Feb 14, 2022 8:23 pm I'm worried. I haven't been tempted or even interested in checking out another DAW in a while. Maybe I've just stopped expecting mine to behave like my former DAWs and simply appreciate it for what it is? Could I actually be satisfied? I'd ask for help, but I think I'm actually happy like this. Never mind.

I switched from Cubase to Studio One when it first came out. I’ve never looked back since. I just need a DAW with flexible routing that doesn’t slow me down or get in the way.
I’ve had to use every major DAW for testing and I hated every second of most of them.
My least favourite of all is Pro Tools. It takes a couple minutes just to set up a track and load an instrument, which oddly goes into an effect slot. By the time you’re ready to go, the inspiration has passed. In Studio One that whole process is instant with a a single drag and drop from the instrument menu to the arrange window.

As Live user the only thing worth of checking seems to be BitWig, but I have no interest to do so
- maybe when I have a new machine I can install it on this old one and do few tests.
