Yes, I think you need the Waves Central app, which is the installation manager.

I'm not here to persuade or dissuade you from anything.

I don't have any issues with Waves, others might have for whatever reasons. Other people's issues are their own problem.

In the meantime, I'll be using and enjoying this new sampler and all of my other Waves plugins.

If logic didn't have Quick Sampler i'd probably be all over this (despite it being waves).

It's still scanning...

It brought up this tiny pie-chart looking icon (next to the folder name in the browser), and it's slowly filling up. Only about 1/8 of it's filled up so far... and it's been a while.

From the ones it fully scanned from my collection so far, it looks like the meta-data is already included... so that's sorta cool (had no idea it even had any to begin with).

I'm ok if it takes a while to scan, if everything works quickly and smoothly after it has completed the initial scan.

I'll be testing it later myself after I organize some of the samples on my drives, before I start the scan.

There have been a few sample organizers on sale recently like XO and I don't have or use any sample organizer, but maybe Cosmos will be useful, if I find that it does what I need.

Anyone use Cosmos to organize non-percussion loops? Is it good at this?

Regarding the included samples, do you get the wav files, or are they hidden in a proprietary format? And do they lean towards any particular genre?

Been trying to avoid Waves for years for fear of another devs rabbit hole. First time I have been seriously tempted in a while.
