I started wondering about this dilemma about YouTube audio production tutorials and reviews. Of course there are some amazing yt channels on these topics. But I noticed lots of content is mostly clickbaits, or videos just to generate lots of views instead of actually giving useful info.
For example Why are there so little videos on YouTube on such a famous plugin: Metric Halo ChannelStrip3 ?
So many videos on random “top 10 plugins you need” or “vst for beats” etc but so little on ChannelStrip3.

Not Metric Halo ChannelStrip3. Do you know any other plugin (standalone or channel strip ) that has MIO compressor like Metric Halo ChannelStrip3 ? Every module of it is great: gate, EQ, and especially the compressor.

Serban Ghenea apparently swears by this plugin, so, there's that - if you're so inclined.
Otherwise, it's maybe just because it's really old now, looks a big ugly by modern standards, and unless on sale is prohibitively expensive ($180)... probably why not much chat about it.

Youtube content creators want to grow their audience, they want to get views - therefore they will show popular plugins which people are interested in. I think Metric Halo ChannelStrip3 is considered old, it's not that sexy and popular.
On the other hand I am still amazed by how they (Metric Halo) were ahead of their times, I think this is still the best UI of all channel strip plugins. It's simple, clear, but looks good, not cluttered, contains a lot of functionality, resizeable. Sounds great too.
