Xhun Audio ZeroBox : Analogue Bassline (ver 1.2)

Well... on macPOS the installer requires a giant amount of clicks just to get through the T&C's. Totally uneccessary. And then more clicking if you happen to get the option to select what you want installed. Frankly, I prefer when companies with only a few products provide just the files, like Xhun - it's much easier to just drag and drop the file vs the incessent clicking macPOS installers require user to do.

Thanks for coming back to me on this. Just bought ZeroBoxxhunaudio wrote: Fri Feb 18, 2022 6:41 am D-LAY is a tempo-synced delay specific unit. At the beginning, the idea was to include also a freely-assignable delay time function too (hence the knobs). Later I decided to keep D-LAY as it is, and further include a *separate delay unit* with freely-assignable tempo (as done with IronAxe).
Got to be honest with you here and say that I am very confused with what you have said above.
I understand this but just cannot understand why it is limited to just two delay times?
I can't find this *separate delay unit* with freely-assignable tempo in Zero Box?xhunaudio wrote: Fri Feb 18, 2022 6:41 amLater I decided to keep D-LAY as it is, and further include a *separate delay unit* with freely-assignable tempo (as done with IronAxe).

Hi,
my apologies, I meant : the other delay unit will be added further. The current D-LAY unit (the only one included in ZeroBox at now) just focuses on a tempo-synced delay time. You can choose between Normal (4/4) Timing or Triplet Timing for each of the 2 stereo audio channels. Normal or Triplet "ratio" applies to the "main tempo" of your DAW. In the future, for this parameters, I'll make 2 *buttons* instead of the current 2 *knobs*.

could you maybe confirm, that the Ableton 11.1 bug is there and it's not only me having it?
Also possible a timeframe when it's done?
I really like ZeroBox, but until it's sorted I can't buy/use it of course. Would love to get it in the sale now

Hi dermage,
unfortunately (within the next few days) for technical reasons I can't fully confirm / replicate that behaviour you mentioned with Live 11.1. Once I'll be able to check that deeply, I'll let you know.
The audio demo (not using Ableton Live) made by me (and other demos made by other people) show that the *state* of each instance of ZeroBox is correctly preserved when a DAW project is saved and reloaded. If there was a mistake in the main code, the same issue would always happen on any DAWs / Hosts.
In the mean time, the final word it's always up to you, based on how a specific software behaves on your specific system. For this reason, I always recommend to extrensively try the software demo with the DAWs / Hosts you use and to buy the software only if you are fully convinced. In addition to Live, if you use also a differet DAW, you can try to run ZeroBox also from there and see the result.
If I'll have more infos to share about this specific case (with Live), I'll public them here.

OK thanks. From beta testing for other developers I know that there are actually differences how project settings are recalled in Live. Also I noticed this eg with elysia Phil's cascade, that it was not working in the initial version(recall), but working in other DAWs.

You are joking of course, are you…? “Drag and drop files” really? and search manually for correct directories… Are you stuck in 1995?plexuss wrote: Fri Feb 18, 2022 10:16 pm Well... on macPOS the installer requires a giant amount of clicks just to get through the T&C's. All I ever have to do with proper Mac installers is to enter my system password and hit next…

Too late now, isn’t it… bought it already…xhunaudio wrote: Fri Feb 18, 2022 3:08 pm Nils Schneider has all my appreciation for his valued works as a developer.
If you consider my software not worth your time, just don't buy it. All my softwares are provided with a free trial/demo versions - with no expiration date - for this kind of evaluation purpose.
Anyway, on the positive side (not to sound negative all the time), I do quite enjoy different vibe and sound that ZeroBox provides and I have to admit that all presets provided are rather excellent
Bottom line, Zerobox is not a total write off… if you can just fix vst3 issues, create a proper installer for Win and macOS I’ll be happy with that… as most users would. ironing bugs can come after…
Btw; I have managed to disable gatekeeper on my Mac, deleted VST2, but sadly vst3 is still not visible inside Cubase pro 11 and AU is still not visible in Logic
As mentioned before, only DAW that recognise ZeroBox is Latest Live 11, but only in AU not Vst3

No. I back to 2018. Have mac installers on later macPOS changed since all the other versions used up to what I am using at least Mojave, all require multiple clicks to get through the T&C screens. If they changed it, great. If not, pleas explain.Atlatnesiti wrote: Mon Feb 21, 2022 12:24 pmYou are joking of course, are you…? “Drag and drop files” really? and search manually for correct directories… Are you stuck in 1995?plexuss wrote: Fri Feb 18, 2022 10:16 pm Well... on macPOS the installer requires a giant amount of clicks just to get through the T&C's. No matter what you say I still prefer to drag and drop from devs with only a few products. I use Path Finder and always have the Components and VST3 folders open in tabs for this and other sys admin purposes. Pedestrians use the Finder.

If you're gonna be smug about it, at least learn to use the terminal. It's right there.plexuss wrote: Mon Feb 21, 2022 10:09 pm I use Path Finder and always have the Components and VST3 folders open in tabs for this and other sys admin purposes. Pedestrians use the Finder.
I hate signatures too.

I like this developer. ResonHeart and FilterCult are under the radar releases. Not slick from an operations point of view as noted above. But they find their own pocket which is not an easy thing to do in this crowded space. Looking forward to demoing this.

I am adept at Terminal. However I dont need it. I just unzip and drag the .component to an already open folder. Done.Super Piano Hater 64 wrote: Mon Feb 21, 2022 10:40 pmIf you're gonna be smug about it, at least learn to use the terminal. Yey
good news everybody…
Finally I’ve managed to get zerobox working under Cubase Pro 11, Logic Pro 11 and of course Ableton Live Suite 11 (Native Mac M1).
Reason still doesn’t recognise it, because it is 2 years behind in development and doesn’t know what vst3 is…
Anyway, I had to disable Gatekeeper through terminal using cryptic command, delete VST2 of zerobox, restart my Mac and bingo, all works in Logic and finally as vst3 in Cubase
Still, is that what the average, potential buyer has to go through…?!
It took me a week to get zerobox working on my Mac, but that should not be the case if there was a proper OS X installer available to begin with…

The best thing, in my opinion, you can do to fix MAC OS problems: switch to Windows.
