The problem seems to be that the D50 is automatically classed as a chosen pro-access synth with the subscription, and you can’t pick a pro-accessed synth for lifetime key. Catch 22.

Yes, I did that with the Pro subscription and the Play4Life. I also did that another year w/Play4 Life (once again) with the XV-5080.Purpan wrote: Sun Feb 20, 2022 7:41 am Sorry if this question has been answered before, but does anyone know if you can choose the D50 as your lifetime key if you’re in the Play4life offer?

Thanks for the info. But now it no longer seems to be available.Examigan wrote: Sun Feb 20, 2022 12:12 pmYes, I did that with the Pro subscription and the Play4Life. Play4Life only being available once a year is frustrating. Puts me off subscribing the rest of the year if I miss it.
Lifetime keys should be a year round benefit of buying an annual membership.

I would write to them directly about that issue:Purpan wrote: Sun Feb 20, 2022 12:45 pmThanks for the info. I don't know what you are talking about. What do you mean "classed as a chosen pro-access synth"? I don't see that terminology on their website. I have access to choose D50 as a lifetime key.Purpan wrote: Sun Feb 20, 2022 9:16 am The problem seems to be that the D50 is automatically classed as a chosen pro-access synth with the subscription, and you can’t pick a pro-accessed synth for lifetime key. What subscription did you choose for your Play4Life...pro or ultimate? Either one would have granted you access to all Legacy and Aira keys as options.

I chose the pro Play4Life. I find it’s impossible to choose the D50 for lifetime key as a pop-up box informs me I already have it (it’s the same for any instrument you pick as pro-access - for a year - under the subscription terms). And it’s impossible to unselect D50 as pro-access.JonSolo wrote: Sun Feb 20, 2022 2:05 pmI don't know what you are talking about. What do you mean "classed as a chosen pro-access synth"? I have a Pro Play4Life subscription and wonder how the choice of a lifetime key works. Currently, I have installed the JD-800 and the Juno-60, both of which are marked with the blue "pro access" button in the RCM. How do I choose one of them to be a lifetime key instrument?

It's been a while since bought into the Play4Life, but I think you have to go rolandcloud.com and after logging in there, in the upper-right look for My Account.
I think it's somewhere on that next page (Account Detail) but I might be mistaken.

I found an old email where I asked support about it. They mentioned it lets you choose the key after the first 30 days has ended. I am guessing it has been more than 30 days for you though, as Play4Life sales are usually around The winter holiday season.

Roland is feeling exceptionally lonely today, I guess. When I can buy the D50 vst directly from your website, you have a sale already secured. I don't dabble in subscriptions and bloatware.
